The legendary Patti Lupone has landed a role on Penny Dreadful for the drama's second season on Showtime.

'Penny Dreadful' Reveals New Torture Device For Upcoming Episodes

Who will Lupone play? Will the character have literary origins? Series creator John Logan isn't giving away all the details just yet, though Entertainment Weekly confirmed the actress's involvement with the drama on Monday. According to the report, Lupone will be playing someone with ties to Vanessa Ives (Eva Green), who has quite a few secrets of her own.

Lupone may be the biggest name heading to the program this season, but she is not the only one. Douglas Hodge (Robin Hood) will be playing an investigator charged with finding the individual responsible for a series of London murders, which fans now know were likely committed by Ethan Chandler (Josh Hartnett) in his werewolf form.
