Fans of love stories on Brooklyn Nine-Nine may be disappointed by the lack of a "Peraltiago" romance in the show's upcoming second season, but one relationship will be featured in some of the episodes for sure.

No 'Peraltiago' Romance On 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine?'

At Fox's Fall Eco-Casino party September 16, show EP Dan Goor guaranteed that Captain Holt's(Andre Braugher) husband, Kevin Cozner (Marc Evan Jackson) would be back for more episodes this season.

"Marc Evan Jackson is coming back for another episode, which they have shot," Goor told The Backlot at the event. "He's great and he's very funny in the episode. The episode itself doesn't center on their relationship [but] it's back at their house."

Adding to the joy fans of the fictional couple may feel, it won't necessarily be Jackson's character's only appearance (he is currently billed for the fifth episode of the season).

"We are such huge fans of [Jackson] and of their relationship and we haven't really yet done another major relationship story of theirs this season so we need to do that," Goor said.

Another character closely related to Holt who fans can hope to see is none other than his mother-who hasn't yet been cast.

"I want to meet 'your honor' but I don't think she'd have a problem with his sexuality," Goor said.

In addition to giving fans scoop on the appearances of Holt's husband and mother, Goor also dished a bit more on Kyra Sedgwick's highly anticipated guest appearance on the show, which will take place in the second episode, Dark Milk.

"It's named after a fictitious hot chocolate shop in Brooklyn [and] Kyra Sedgwick's character comes in and is the nemesis to Andre's character," he explained about the episode. "They go back 25 years and we see the genesis of their enmity and it's hilarious."

Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 2 premieres Sunday, September 28 at 8:30 p.m. on FOX.
