Fox's new hit show Gotham will be going to Arkham very soon into its first season, according to a new plot synopsis.

Fox has released the plot synopsis for the fourth episode of Gotham, which is simply titled Arkham. Most fans of the Batman franchise know the name Arkham from Arkham Asylum, the psychiatric hospital that houses the Caped Crusader's various villains. However, the plot synopsis for the episode does not seem to focus on the Asylum; rather, there will be an emphasis on the Arkham district of Gotham.

"As a contentious city council vote on the future of the Arkham district approaches, politicians from both sides are in danger. Gordon [Ben McKenzie] and Bullock [Donal Logue] must race to protect the council and an old friend visits Gordon."

With only one episode having aired, it has become clear that Gotham will focus heavily on a wide variety of Batman villains, including but not limited to The Penguin/Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor), Catwoman/Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova), The Riddler/Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) and Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith), a rare new addition to the Batman universe.

The next two episodes, set to air before Arkham, have villain names in the titles themselves. Episode 2 is titled Selina Kyle while Episode 3 is titled The Balloonman, which centers on a villain who attaches his victims to weather balloons.

Gotham airs Monday nights at 8/7c on Fox.
