Despite the relatively depressing arc that has comprised the first two episodes of Bones Season 10, the show will be going back to a more light-hearted tone soon enough.

Booth "Has To Learn How To Trust" The FBI Again

Booth (David Boreanaz) was sprung from jail in the Season 10 premiere only to be struck with the news that Sweets (John Francis Daley) had died in the midst of the conspiracy case. Booth, Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and the others bid goodbye to Sweets in Thursday night's second episode.

Though it would seem that this season is becoming much darker than Bones fans are accustomed to, executive producer Stephen Nathan recently revealed to E! Online that there would be fun to be had again very soon.

Wendell Isn't Going Anywhere, Though Cancer Battle Will "Definitely Be Revisited"

"Bones is not going to turn into a dark show where they are dealing with these demons all of the time," he revealed. "We are going to be back on our traditional Bones footing very quickly."

As for Sweets' still unborn baby with Daisy (Cara Gallo), fans can rest assured that the baby will be cared for.

"I don't think people who have grown close to her and really love her in their own way over these past five, six years . . . they're not going to send her out in the world alone," he said. "When this baby is born, this baby will be cared for."

Ultimately, the series will have another arc with an evil killer by the end of the season, according to Nathan.

"I can safely say that there is going to be something else lurking out there. I don't think the world ever exists with simple murders...I think we need something a little more evil," he noted. "It might be in the second half of the year. We'll be getting involved in another case where there's someone who's not nice, not a good person."

Bones Season 10 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
