Austin Mahone loves to give back to his fans and during a special trip to New York last week that's exactly what the singer did.

Austin Mahone Kicks Off Three-Day Mexican Leg Of Tour, 'Here I Come'

On Sunday, WGRZ NBC revealed that Mahone had visited Gowanda, N.Y. as part of his collaboration with All State and creating a contest to remind his fans to drive safely.

Alysha Gassman, a 17-year old senior at Gowanda High, entered the contest and won a meet and greet with Mahone. "I was surprised and really excited. Like I couldn't believe it was actually happening. Like wow," Gassman said after meeting him. Mahone even joked, "We talked about college, trucks, zombies, barbies..."

After meeting Gassman, Mahone then talked to the entire school and thanking them for having him and reminding them not to text and drive behind the wheel.

"In this generation, it's all about Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and everyone's always on their phones, so it's like, chill out," Mahone said, "just put your phone to the side 'cause it's actually the number one death in teens is getting in crashes...messing with your phone, so put your phones down."

Gassman admitted it was a pretty big deal for the Mmm Yeah singer to come to her small hometown. "Everyone was freaking out, asking me if they could get his autograph and everything, and it was just like really cool."

Mahone is currently on his Latin American tour before retuning to the United States.
