While there has been a massive scale teased for the next X-Men movie, it looks like the writer/producer of the series wanted to clarify that they invision it going the same way and that fans can expect a lot of new faces and places along the way.

Speaking with Collider on Thursday, Simon Kinberg talked about how much more budget they have for this venture and what that means for the scope of the next movie compared to the previous installments.

"There are some very big set pieces. I don't know what the budget's gonna be because we're still a ways away from budgeting the film, but I can say that Fox has a lot of creative confidence in the team that made Days of Future Past-myself, Bryan, Lauren Shuler Donner, Hutch Parker," Kinberg said.

"All of those people are coming back so in terms of a sandbox they're definitely giving us a lot of room to play creatively and take chances the way that we took some chances on Days of Future Past, and do some radical things just as I think we did some radical things in Days of Future Past."

The scribe has also teased appearances by mutants such as Scarlet Witch, Psylocke, and Cable on top of a host of other names that could be the next league of X-Men with some of the staple characters moving on after this film, which he also called the closing of a trilogy.

He also hinted that Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult's relationship would be a key component of this movie.

X-Men: Apocalypse is set to open in theaters on May 27, 2016.
