One member of the 99th precinct is set to become the butt of everyone's jokes after he decided to undergo a controversial procedure on the next episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Things Get 'Super Awkward' For Jake & Amy?

Sarge (Terry Crews) will confide in his detectives to let them know about his decision to undergo a vasectomy in the Oct. 5 episode of the show-but his decision to be up-front and honest about the procedure could backfire on him greatly.

"I'm getting a vasectomy," he tells Jake (Andy Samberg) in a preview clip for the episode, before being interrupted by Gina (Chelsea Peretti).

"Hold it up. You're gonna let some quack doctor just knife around down there?" she asks. "You are blessed with a great power and you should never snip its wings, you should let it soar."

Gina in particular won't find the decision funny, and will actually have a hard time with it, something Andre Braugher (Captain Holt) alludes to in the clip.

"Gina considers him to be a magnificent example of a man, so she's pained by the idea that he might be lessened or...cut short...in anyway," Braugher says.

Despite Gina's poor reaction, Sarge will still try to get his detectives back under control-which won't work in his favor.

"If you guys don't get back to work, I'm going to start firing detectives," he threatens in the clip to Jake, Charles (Joe Lo Truglio), Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz) and Amy (Melissa Fumero).

"And blanks!" Amy yells out.

"That's enough! I don't need any more input," Sarge replies.

"Guess you won't be manning the tip line," Diaz pipes up.

And besides the endless teasing, Samberg guarantees that there will be some hijinks as well, ones that will try and prevent the surgery from taking place.

"...I don't want to promise that hijinks ensure, but screw it, I promise," he says. "Hijinks aplenty."

Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs Sundays at 8:30 p.m. on FOX.
