It sounds like there might be some things that need to be worked out between television star Mindy Kaling and her co-worker B.J. Novak.

On Friday, People posted a story on Novak when he was talking about his new picture book called The Book With No Pictures. His co-star from The Mindy Project and The Office was brought up when the actor was asked what kind of relationship they had.

"Complicated," Novak said in his response. "A really complicated person and a really complicated friendship, but I won't trade it for anything in the world."

This might cause some confusion because Novak didn't really explain how the actress is "complicated." Kaling is known as one of the most popular TV show personalities with her wild humor so this could make the public wonder what's been going on in her work life with Novak.

Considering that the two were apparently in a relationship a while back, it may not be so surprising that the two might have some tension going on especially since they work together.

In a radio interview with Howard Stern, Kaling admitted that she and Novak broke up a while back and it left her pretty down.

"That was the hottest I've ever looked because I stopped eating," the actress admitted, posted on E! News. "When I get depressed I stop eating. So I was so miserable and so beautiful. I remember waking up, barely getting out of bed and we worked together, but I didn't care. I had no makeup on...I was real miserable."
