While it has been a role he has had to shake off his entire career, Ben Affleck is promising that his latest try at becoming a superhero isn't going to be anywhere close to his first try with Daredevil.

'Gotham' Star Says 'Batman v Superman' Crossover Is Possible Because There Is 'No Distinction' Between TV & Films

Speaking with NPR on Saturday, Affleck talked about his fighting with Daredevil and how playing Batman won't be on the same level as the other movie.

"Indeed I have regrets about Daredevil. I have regrets about all the movies that I don't think were executed properly," he said. "Look, if I thought we were remaking Daredevil, I'd be out there picketing myself and that goes for other movies as well that I haven't been happy with."

Did Jon Stewart Reveal The Ending Of 'Batman v Superman?'

Affleck has been outwardly glad with the work done on Batman v Superman so far and has championed both director Zack Snyder and writer Chris Terrio, who also worked with him on Argo, as doing a great job with the movie.

While it probably has too much to live up to, Batman v Superman most likely won't end up on the level of Daredevil just based on how much Affleck has come since then, establishing himself as a solid director with an Oscar and giving one of his better career performances in the recently released Gone Girl. But it also is a role that Affleck has had to fight so shaking it off with the role of Batman was most likely on his mind.

Batman v Superman also stars Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Jesse Eisenberg, Amy Adams, Jeremy Irons and Scoot McNairy. It is set to open in theaters on March 26, 2016.
