Some of Port Charles' couples are set to overcome the biggest hurdles in their complicated romantic histories on General Hospital.

Franco Learns 'Exactly' How Carly Feels About Sonny

Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Silas (Michael Easton) were one of the more promising new couples in town until Silas' believed-to-be-deceased wife Nina (Michelle Stafford) showed up. Nina was out for revenge against Silas for an affair he had over 20 years ago, and as a result, she managed to successfully break the couple up after Silas didn't like accusations Sam made against her.

However, now that Silas has learned that Nina can walk perfectly, his trust in her has wavered, and he wants to apologize to Sam for hurting her and not believing her suspicions.

Franco Demands Answers From Carly & Sonny

"Maybe there is some way that I can make this up to you," he says to her in a preview clip for the Thursday, Oct. 9 episode.

Another couple that could possibly be facing some huge obstacles is Carly (Laura Wright) and Franco (Roger Howarth), especially after Franco realized Carly slept with Sonny (Maurice Bernard) once again. Carly is unaware that Franco knows her huge secret but she is maintaining that she and Sonny are really through this time.

"I told Sonny that it can never happen again," she says to her mother, Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) in the clip.

And while she is unaware her fiancé is plotting revenge against her, she is also unaware that her ex-husband will do anything to win her back-even if it means eliminating his competition.

"Franco needs to be taken out," Sonny tells Shawn (Sean Blakemore) in the clip.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
