Gold medal winning gymnast McKayla Maroney added a new photo to social media that shows a slightly different expression from her usual snapshots.

McKayla Maroney Shows Off Her Complexion On Instagram

The picture that was posted on Monday shows Maroney standing in the middle of a street taking a selfie where she scowls into the camera. Her lips are pursed and move to the side as she squints her eyes. The image has some artistic tendencies to it since it's angled diagnally with a glow over the gymnast and on the street behind her. This landscape adds the alluring effect even though Maroney has her famous 'not impressed' feature attached.

The gymnast's hair is also tied back as she wears a white top with a choker necklace.

Most of Maroney's Instagram pictures are of selfies although she tends to have more of a smirk in them. She is usually in a car or in a room as opposed to a place where outside scenery can be seen in plain sight.

Maroney tends to have a wide range of styles based on her photos and she mentioned in an interview with Teen Vogue that she has kind of an edgy style outside of the gym.

"I really like crop tops," she said. "I like how you can dress them up or down, with jeans or a skirt and heels. I like to be showy and cute. I don't want to be in just a jacket and pants and boots."
