It would seem with filming pretty much wrapped, outside of a few re-shoots, that the first look at the next movie in the Divergent series could be coming soon. But with a predicted date in late November, could the first look come sooner than fans anticipated?

Will Shailene Woodley Be Wrapped In Guilt At The Beginning Of 'Insurgent?'

As of now, the first trailer for Insurgent is expected to be revealed during the premiere of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 with Lionsgate putting both of their big franchises on full display on the same night. But could fans get that first look sooner?

Look at what the Hunger Games movies have done. They sent out a few subliminal, teaser trailers that set the mood and built up to the final reveal of the full trailer that tied everything together, almost like a story on its own. But could that work for Insurgent? Maybe they go with a similar model and begin to tease the trailer in the coming weeks.

What We Know So Far About 'Insurgent'

With the recent success of young adult franchises like The Maze Runner, it would be smart for Divergent to show that the series can still be one of the heavy hitters as it looks to be the top dog once Hunger Games runs up next year. By teasing their next trailer and showing small glimpses of the film early, the excitement could reach peak level with both die-hard fans and the casual moviegoer.

The film is directed by Robert Schwentke from a script by Brian Duffield and Akiva Goldsman. It stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Ansel Elgort, Kate Winslet, Jai Courtney, Miles Teller, Zoe Kravitz, Naomi Watts, Ray Stevenson and Octavia Spencer.

Insurgent opens in theaters on March 20, 2015.
