Dandy Mott (Finn Wittrock) has already become one of the (scariest) standout characters in FX's American Horror Story: Freak Show and his arc may just get scarier.

In the weeks to come, Dandy may be taking after his new mentor, Twisty the Clown (John Carroll Lynch) in gross and disturbing ways. American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy spoke with Entertainment Weekly this week about Dandy and his twisted sensibility.

Asked if Dandy's experimenting with animals will lead to him becoming a killer, Murphy suggests that this is likely.

"Well I think studies have shown that almost 90 [percent] of people with murderous impulses begin experimenting on animals. So yeah that's part of it." Murphy said. "I love the scene where Dandy goes to the freak show and I sort of think that if the freak show would have accepted him and he would have had an outlet I don't think he would become what he's going to become. So I think that Evan [Peters]'s character is partially responsible for what's going to happen in a weird way."

Dandy was last seen following Twisty into the woods and helping him corral the kidnapped children who were trying to escape. With him complaining about being so bored with life, one can only imagine what sort of trouble Dandy will get in as Twisty's apprentice.

American Horror Story: Freak Show airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
