The representative's comments come after two of the show's stars Scott Porter, who portrays George Tucker, and Wilson Bethel, who plays Wade Kinsella, took to their social media accounts with cryptic messages that seemed to confirm the show's cancellation.

After completing the taping for Season 4 earlier this month, Porter shared a picture on Instagram of himself, Bethel and Cress Williams, who plays Mayor Lavon Hayes.

But it was the caption that seemed to give the subliminal message.

"And that's a wrap on the #3Amigos. Love these dudes. Proud of these dudes. #TearsWereShed #RealMenCry #HartOfDixie" he wrote Oct. 6.

On top of that, Bethel also tweeted Oct. 6, hinting that the series is coming to an end.

"Thank you, Wade Kinsella, for these four wonderful years. It's been a mighty pleasure knowing you. #picturewrap #HartofDixie".

The fourth season is set to premiere in early 2015.
