Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi may not be having their own children, but the couple still loves to help out when they can.

Why Portia de Rossi Feels Like She's 'Disappointing America'

DeGeneres proved that on her talk show Friday when she gave $10,000 to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in honor of Cincinnati Bengals player Devon Still's daughter Leah.

Still appeared on DeGeneres' talk show via satellite to talk about his younger daughter who is battling cancer. Still's story has gripped America as the proceeds from his jersey sales will also benefit charity.

"She's doing good," Still told DeGeneres about his 4-year-old (via Fox Sports). "She just finished up her third round of chemo. This one kinda hit her hard because she didn't bounce all the way back from her surgery, but she's a fighter and she's gonna continue to fight."

It was a surprise to Still when DeGeneres gave him the $10,000 check and also said she was going to get celebrities to sign her Still jersey and auction it off for charity.

DeGeneres and de Rossi recently revealed that they were not having any children, despite the rumors that constantly go viral.

De Rossi said on Jimmy Kimmel Live (via Us Weekly), "It's just one big rumor that doesn't seem to go away," de Rossi said about having children. "And at this point, I feel like I'm disappointing the whole of America - not just my mother."
