The online petition was started on Oct. 17 and currently over 6,600 signatures from viewers across the country.

"The Longmire Posse Official Fan Site, it's 30,000 members, and all Longmire viewers, have been working since cancellation was announced on August 28, 2014 to build the power and influence of the Longmire audience in social media with the #LongLiveLongmire campaign," read the petition's opening statement.

"We have shown any network that is considering adding Longmire to its line-up," the statement continued, "How powerful, influential, and engaged this fan base is."

Those who sign the petition are asked to include a name, time zone, and age, as well as any comments they might have about the series.

The cast has supported the petition by retweeting request for support.

Producers have been shopping the program around with other networks, though no news of success has been confirmed just yet.

If Longmire does manage to find a new network, it will likely return for a fourth season during the second half of 2015.
