Hank Azaria Addresses Character Details On 'The Simpsons'

On Friday, TV Guide posted a sneak peek of this Sunday's episode where the Oscar winning actress lends her voice as the firm Assemblywoman Maxine Lombard. Lisa brings her to Springfield to help stop a fracking operation from Mr. Burns.

The clip starts off with Homer sitting on the couch eating fried chicken when cars stop by the house and he calls for Lisa. She answers the door where Maxine is there, causing Lisa to release her excitement.

"I'll go anywhere, anytime, to defend our precious Bay area values," the assemblywoman says.

The scene then moves into Maxine noticing a sink on fire where a photographer takes a picture. As terrible as Maxine finds this to be, she seems to enjoy her publicity since she poses for the camera. She then asks if there's a baby that can be used for a photo, which Marge reluctantly accepts since she's holding Maggie.

Maxine then reveals what exactly she plans on doing to get back at Mr. Burns.

"I'm going to hit this Mr. Burns with a politician's most powerful weapon- an invitation to a committee hearing," she says.

The Simpsons airs on Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on FOX. It is currently on its 26th season with more than 500 episodes.
