Gabby Douglas will be vying for a third gold medal at the Olympic Games at London 2012 Tuesday. In the women's gymnastics individual events Douglas will be in the women's beam final at 9.47 a.m. ET. The action can be watched online through live stream on NBC Olympics (link below).

Douglas has become famous for her uneven bars performances, gaining the nickname the "Flying Squirrel" for her huge leap into the air, but it should be remembered that she is most competent on the balance beam.

Gabby's performances were a large part of the U.S. gaining gold in the team event for the first time since 1996 last week.

Gabby has said ahead of the beam final on Tuesday: "If I can just do what I did in the all-around finals or team finals, then I'll be good. I'm going to get a lot of rest, just rest up, and do a lot of therapies and relax my body and hopefully prepare for that."

The gymnast also won a second gold two days after the team gold, becoming the first African-American gymnast to win gold in the women's all-around event.

However, one big mistake on Monday night in the uneven bars final saw her finish last in the group.

"You get toward the end of the Olympics and you get kind of drained," she said. "I wasn't mad at myself for bars finals, even if it wasn't enough for a medal."

"I've got two gold medals. Overall that's very good," Douglas said. "I made a mistake and could have fought harder."

Going into Tuesday's women's beam final Douglas will be looking to complete her triple and make it three golds for her at the 2012 Games. The Women's beam final starts at 9.47 a.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream by clicking here.
