She hasn't been seen in months, but Eva Mendes has finally emerged in public again-and by the looks of her it'd be hard to know she only gave birth six weeks ago.

Ryan Gosling Goes Back To Work

The 40-year-old actress was spotted in public again for the first time since March on Nov. 1, and even though she stayed out of the spotlight to hide the fact that she was pregnant, motherhood appears to have been treating her well, as she showcased a slim figure while leaving a commercial shoot in L.A.-just six weeks after having a baby with boyfriend Ryan Gosling.

The actress wore her wavy hair down as she left the shoot, and looked like she was ready to return to the spotlight in a plunging black cardigan and cut-off grey pants, which she paired with short brown boots. And though she was confirmed to have given birth in September, she already appeared to be back in fantastic shape.

Ryan Gosling & Eva Mendes Planning To Move To The Country?

It was one of the first public sightings of Mendes in months, as she appeared to be conspicuously absent and was rarely spotted doing daily activities or at red carpet events since earlier this spring. Her lack of attendance at the Cannes Film Festival in May, where Gosling's directorial debut Lost River was screened for the first time, led many to speculate the couple had broken up.

However, it was revealed in July that the two were very much together and were expecting a baby together-and Mendes hadn't been seen in public because she was already seven months along and wanted to keep things private. She gave birth to a baby girl, later revealed to be named Esmeralda Amada, on September 12.

Gosling was spotted out in public for the first time last week, after he returned to work on the set of his newest film The Nice Guys. The couple's daughter has yet to make an appearance in public.
