Gold medal winner McKayla Maroney just posted a new photo on her Instagram page of what she dressed as for Halloween.

While the picture only shows the gymnast's face and not her costume, it seems pretty safe to say that she dressed up as a cat based on her makeup. The photo that was posted on Monday shows Maroney smirking for the camera in a selfie with a black circle on her nose and penciled whiskers on her cheeks. She also dons some eyeliner, bringing out her colorful eyes.

Last Friday for Halloween, Maroney added another picture where she wears her cat ears, but not her makeup. She looks to the side as her hair falls over her face.

McKayla Maroney's PHOTO Receives Nasty Comments?

The gymnast has been keeping in touch with social media a lot lately. On Twitter, she posted a couple Vine videos, one where she sings Michael Buble's "To Love Somebody" and another where she sings Ariana Grande's "Be My Baby." In an interview with Adidas, Maroney mentioned that she was planning to take up singing as well as some other skills.

"I'm currently training for the next Olympics. I'm in the gym 24/7- it's really enjoyable but at the end of the day, I also think about the bigger picture," she said. "I really want to act and sing later in life so I've been taking those kinds of classes. I have lots of different goals and dreams- winning the Olympics was just one of them."
