Pulled the from series' second episode, "The Graybar Hotel," the image shows a rather tough looking Lisbon (Robin Tunney) as she is escorted to her cell. The reasons behind Lisbon's undercover mission remain unclear, but it is a plot line writer Jordan Harper ("Violets," "The Great Red Dragon") has had under his hat for quite some time.

"After years of pitching, I finally got my undercover-in-women's-prison story, and it's my favorite episode I've done," Harper tweeted on Thursday.

Although Harper has yet to reveal any details about Lisbon's time inside, the write did bring fans a few updates from the set as "Graybar Hotel" filmed in August.

"Prepping for car stunts and gunplay listening to the slow part of 'Rocket Queen,'" Harper wrote while preparing for a nighttime car chase.

The Mentalist will open its finale season with "Nothing But Blue Skies" on Nov. 30 at 9:30 p.m. ET/9 p.m. PT. Click the video below to catch the final moments of season 6.
