Hill finished up filming for Dixieland this month, an indie crime drama starring Chris Zylka from HBO's The Leftovers and Riley Keogh (Magic Mike). According to Deadline on Wednesday, the film will be Hill's first since 2004, when she starred alongside Nicole Kidman in Stepford Wives.

Before that she'd landed guest roles in the 1990s on Touched By An Angel and Promised Land, though she hasn't done much acting since.

The country singer and mother of three has kept a pretty low profile in the movie industry, opting for smaller indie projects. Her husband, on the other hand, has made quite a film career for himself.

McGraw has starred in a number of popular sports films, including Friday Night Lights and The Blind Side with Sandra Bullock. His latest film project is Tomorrowland, the big 2015 sci-fi picture starring George Clooney.

"It's a huge production," McGraw told Rolling Stone during an interview in September. "There's a lot going on. All the stuff I hear back, it's going to be spectacular."

McGraw and Hill have yet to collaborate on a film, though they did recently share screen-time in the music video for their duet Meanwhile Back At Mama's.
