This may be how Marvel take care of actors who badmouth their brand - by killing off their character in the next movie. This could be the reality for Idris Elba after the actor was negative towards the studio in a recent interview, but will Heimdall meet his fate?

Did Tom Hiddleston Reveal Information About 'Thor 3' In A Year-Old Interview?

There will most likely be a lot of death in the next Thor movie, as teased by screenwriter Christopher Yost recent on Twitter, but which specific characters will perish?

Cinema Blend made a list on Tuesday of the possibility of some characters dying and labeled Elba's Heimdall and The Warriors Three (which include Zachary Levi, Ray Stevenson, and Tadanobu Asano) as the most likely to perish when Ragnarok comes and engulfs Asgard. While Jaimie Alexander's Lady Sif works with the warrior, they labeled her on her own as not likely.

Thor's New Romance To Be Front & Center In Next Movie?

It would make sense to take out these characters as they don't really have much bearing in future Marvel movies outside of the Thor franchise and other characters such as Loki, Thor, and Lady Sif could always pop up in future Avengers movies. It would also strike an emotional response if Elba's character died as he has become a fan favorite.

Marvel also has a history of killing off semi-major yet minor characters in their movies including killing Thor's mother in the The Dark World. It hits an emotional core with the fans, but still keeps the major players available for future movies (unless you're Loki and cheat death constantly).

Thor: Ragnarok is expected to hit theaters in 2017.
