On Wednesday, the retrial for Jodi Arias continued leading to arguments over evidence and an expert witness put on stand.

Jodi Arias' Lawyers File Motion To Dismiss All Charges

This retrial began last month on Oct. 20 and is expected to continue into next month.

Arias' lawyers filed a motion late Monday night to dismiss all charges against her, alleging prosecutorial misconduct. This allegation led to arguments in the court yesterday since the prosecution claims there wasn't any destroyed evidence.

ABC News reported that Prosecutor Juan Martinez said his office had the computer reanalyzed just this week, and it showed the defense claims are false. Martinez further noted that if anything was deleted from the computer, Arias' previous defense attorneys did it.

"It confirmed that he had not accessed any of the (pornographic) sites that they're claiming he accessed," Martinez said.

But defense attorney Kirk Nurmi told Judge Sherry Stephens that computer experts are uncovering a "plethora of evidence as we speak."

Furthermore, Arias' defense team brought in an expert witness, L.C. Miccio-Fonseca, a psychologist. Miccio-Fonseca said while on stand, "There's a mastery here of deception," when discussing Travis Alexander. Alexander was described as a man who led two separate lives. One of those lives was of sexual deviancy with Arias and another of religious conviction around his friends and family since he was said to be a devout Mormon.

It was concluded that Arias' love for Alexander was a powerful thing and it led to crazy actions. Miccio-Fonseca said, "Love is pretty powerful and so it makes us do crazy things."

Outside of the trial, over the past weekend, Arias' parents released a YouTube video asking for funding to help pay for their daughter's defense and they also thanked those who have sent donations. That video can be seen below.
