The cast for the next Captain America movie continues to grow as another talented actor joins the already massive group of people in the movie. But is he going to be an important figure in Doctor Strange as well?

Another 'Avengers 2' Character Could Fill In For Captain America's New Team

Marvel released a press release on Friday specifying that Daniel Bruhl, who was in Inglorious Basterds and Rush, would be joining the cast of Captain America: Civil War in a disclosed role.

While the release didn't specify what the role would be, sources told Variety that Bruhl would be playing a villain that would be minor in Captain America 3, but would expand into the main villain for Doctor Strange, which follows that movie in 2016.

Now that Bruhl has been confirmed for at least one of the movies, it is curious how a role that he would start in the Captain America franchise would be able to crossover with Doctor Strange, who is not going to be an origin story.

The theory right now is that Bruhl could be playing Baron Zemo. In the comics, Zemo was one of the top scientists of the Nazi party and helped to build multiple weapons of mass destruction for Hitler's army. While that was covered in the first Captain America movie, it will be interesting how they explain his return (probably through Hydra) and what he would be doing with Doctor Strange.

Either way, Bruhl joins a group that includes Anthony Mackie, Chadwick Boseman, Sebastain Stan, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, and Frank Grillo.

Captain America: Civil War comes out on May 6, 2016.
