Penny Dreadful began filming in some new locations for Season 2 back in September and this month the Showtime series returned to some familiar territory, but that doesn't mean that character dynamics won't be changing.

Eva Green Dishes On The Men Of 'Penny Dreadful' In New Interview 

On Saturday, director Damon Thomas and producer Christopher King shared some photos from Dorian Gray's (Reeve Carney) decadent home, a set which was introduced early on during Season 1.

Thomas noted that Dorian would be meeting with a significant character during this scene, though he refused to reveal his or her name.

It's possible that this mystery character is in fact the love interest Carney promised during San Diego's Comic Con back in July. Miss Vanessa Ives's (Eva Green) decision to reject at the end of Season 1 has opened the ever-youthful Dorian up to new romantic pursuits for the upcoming season.

"I know that Dorian will have a new love interest in season two, probably somewhat in response to being heartbroken for the first time in his life," Carney revealed to Happy Cool on at Comic Con on July 24 (featured below). "So who knows where that goes. It's interesting to think about. Or maybe even multiple love interests, as seems is his way."

Penny Dreadful returns to Showtime for a second season in 2015.
