TV star Mindy Kaling may have revealed a little secret about herself that may or may not have included her ex and longtime friend B.J. Novak.

The two have been broken up for a good while, but they remain friends and co-workers on The Mindy Project. Speaking of which, the next episode of the hit comedy revolves around Danny coming across Mindy's diary and wondering if he should read it or not. In a video posted on E! News on Monday, the actors have all mentioned that there have been times where they have wanted to snoop in someone else's private stash, but tried not to.

Kaling then admitted that she has been guilty of snooping, but it's not recommended.

"I, like everyone else, have snooped before and it's always had catastrophic endings to it," she said. "So no, I would advise not to, but I also know how irresistible it is."

This gives some curiosity if the actress had any situations like this that involved Novak. Perhaps, this could be one of the reasons why it didn't work out between them since she mentioned "catastrophic endings." On the other hand though, she may have been referring to something else.

Kaling has been pretty open on her friendship with Novak especially when she told Cosmopolitan what it's been like for her lately when they hang out together.

"In the past month or so, when we do hang out, it's seemed a lot more interesting and mysterious and sexy," she said. "So for us, we're like, 'Cool! We're cool all of a sudden,' as opposed to what we usually are, which is schlubs going to see Gone Girl. But he's my friend, there's nothing to report."
