Michelle Rodriguez is taking a break from acting.

In a new interview, Rodriguez, who split from Cara Delevingne and Zac Efron earlier this year, revealed she would be taking one year off to recover from heartbreak.

"I had so much heartbreak last year that I am taking a year off to do something different, like write," Rodriguez explained in a Nov. 20 interview with London's Evening Standard. “I don’t know what yet — maybe movie scripts or TV shows but something creative as that’s my passion. I’ve wanted to do it for a while and now would be great."

Among Rodriguez's heartbreak was the death of her The Fast and the Furious costar, Paul Walker, as well as breakups with Delevingne and Efron. Rodriguez dated Delevingne for several months earlier this year, but split in May. Months later, she and Efron went public with their relationship while overseas. Their brief relationship reportedly ended in August.

"This year has been too much and I need some time out," Rodriguez added.

Part of that "time out" was recently spent with Kim Kardashian on a yacht in Dubai. Last Friday, the pair were spotted by the UK's Daily Mail, hanging out together on a boat with a handful of friends, including Joyce Bonelli and Carla DiBello. While it is unclear how the pair know each other, Kardashian has been spotted on multiple occasions with Rodriguez's ex, Delevingne.

Of her sexuality, Rodriguez explained to Entertainment Weekly last year, "I've gone both ways. I do as I please. I am too curious to sit here and not try when I can. Men are intriguing. So are chicks."
