Longmire's Robert Taylor, who has charmed fans for three seasons in the title role, is one of the show's few stars who lacks a strong social media presence. Even so, this didn't stopped the actor from lending his support as producers searched to find the axed A&E drama a new network and it isn't stopping him now.

'Longmire' Cast Dishes On 'Dreams' & Season 4 

On Friday Longmire actor Adam Bartley (Ferg) shared a message on Twitter straight from Taylor himself. The message followed this week's announcement that Netflix had picked up the series for a fourth season.

Taylor is "overjoyed" that the popular crime drama will live on. Thanking the producers at Warner Horizon and Twitter's "Longmire Posse" of fans, the actor declared that he's excited to get back to Santa Fe for production.

In addition to his heartfelt message, Taylor went out of his way to release a series of videos updating fans on the show's progress over the last few months. In these clips (featured below), the star thanked viewers for their support and encouraged them to keep up hope for revival on a new network. He explained that finding a new home would take time and patience, which has now paid off.

Longmire is set to begin filming in March and so the show will likely premiere on Netflix for a fourth season during the second half of 2015.
