She has claimed to have forgiven her husband for cheating on her with a transsexual model, but it doesn't mean Kendra Wilkinson was still okay with all the attention that the situation with Hank Baskett and Ava Sabrina London brought her.

In fact, the need to get away is what prompted the reality star to head to Australia to film I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

"She wanted to do it to prove to herself what a strong person she is, because she has had a tough year," her friend Jessica Hall told Express UK. "She needed the time out."

"When it [the news of Hank Baskett's alleged affair] came out...it was out of control but you have to remember there are two sides to every story," she added.

Wilkinson has been filming the reality show for a few weeks now, away from Baskett and their two children, Hank IV and Alijah Mary.

The couple's marriage was rocked back in June, when allegations first surfaced that Baskett had cheated on his wife while she was eight months pregnant with their daughter. Making matter worse, he was alleged to have cheated with London, a transsexual model, and paid her to keep the affair quiet.

The resulting drama from the affair was later captured on the third season of the couple's reality show Kendra on Top, where fans saw Wilkinson alternately consider divorce and ultimately choose to give her marriage with Baskett another chance.

The couple is also expected  to have the drama also play out on the newest season of Marriage Boot Camp.

Despite all the drama surrounding them however, Hall is hopeful that the couple will be able to work through their issues.

"I would love to see them make it work, because I adore both of them and they are terrific together. I'm rooting for Hank," she said.
