Angela Bassett, one of the many stars of FX's American Horror Story: Freak Show, revealed a few teasers for Wednesday night's episode and talked whether or not she would return for season 5 next year.

With Desiree's (Bassett) relationship with Dell (Michael Chiklis) gradually dissipating, the actress teased to E! Online that they are going to confront each other soon.

"Oh yeah." she said, laughing, when asked if a showdown was coming. "I mean he's been checking for me here and there with what comes out of his mouth."

The next episode of American Horror Story is titled Blood Bath and Bassett may have suggested that a lack of compassion could lead to some nasty consequences for one character.

"You've got to play fair, you've got to love deeply, you've got to have compassion or you get what you've got coming to you," she said, cryptically. "That's all I can say."

This episode is apparently going to be Bassett's big breakout episode as Desiree, a character that has mostly been sidelined all season.

"Well, strange things have been happening at the freak compound. Really, just mysterious," Bassett explained. "We don't know who's causing what. We think it may be one person, but maybe it's not. I mean, there's a lot of mystery. A lot of mysterious things that are going on and it comes to a head. Desiree really, finally gets empowered and decides to take matters into her own hands."

Freak Show is Bassett's second season with American Horror Story. The actress received an Emmy nomination for her delicious portrayal of voodoo priestess Marie Laveau in American Horror Story: Coven, though she ended up losing to her costar Kathy Bates.

Asked if she would return for season 5, Bassett definitely seemed interested.

"Yes. Sure! I would seriously consider it because it's all been so good," she admitted.

American Horror Story: Freak Show airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
