Radar Online reports that Mendes became extremely jealous and irate after McAdams called Gosling recently to congratulate him on fatherhood-and even banned her beau from excepting his ex's calls.

"Rachel had the best of intentions when she called," a source said. "She wanted to congratulate Ryan on the baby, but to also find out how he was doing."

However, the news reportedly didn't sit well with Mendes, who reportedly decided to give Esmeralda Amada's father an ultimatum about how to handle interactions with McAdams in the future.

"It caused a big scene, the source said. "Now Eva's banned him from taking Rachel's calls."

The source even claimed that Mendes is convinced that McAdams wants Gosling back.

If the reports are true, it wouldn't be the first time Gosling's The Notebook co-star has reportedly been an issue for the new parents, as reports have circulated on and off for their entire three-year relationship that claimed the one-time couple was looking to rekindle their flame.

Rumors even surfaced after Mendes' pregnancy news broke to the media over the summer, with some alleging that McAdams was still trying to win Gosling back, despite Mendes carrying his baby, while others believed the actor felt "trapped" by the baby news.
