Alongside their proudly won medals, Team USA is now in the process of heading home upon the finish of the 2012 London Olympic Games. Roughly 6,000 competitors are said to be en route to America after entering a makeshift terminal at London's Heathrow Airport supposedly as massive as three Olympic swimming pools, according to a Daily Mail source.

Coaches and executives piled into the airport and train stations as well in order to continually expedite the process. Monday is slated to be one of Heathrow's craziest days to date as a whopping 116,000 people are collectively scheduled to climb aboard a flight.

Upon their arrival at the gate, America's finest were reported to have received a specialty-themed London send-off. Hence, as the Olympians entered the terminal, they were each warmly received and applauded by a guard of honour comprised of several volunteers.

United States Water Polo Gold Medal Winners Tumua Anae and Courtney Mathewson were more than pleased with the London hospitality themselves, also according to the online news site:

"The Games were awesome. The people were so good to us. All the volunteers were so friendly and gave us a lot of support, I have to say to Britain - you guys did a great job," said Anae.

"I loved London. Everything was perfect. I was very impressed," expressed Mathewson.

Gold Medal gymnast Gabby Douglas had left a couple days earlier as she had tweeted a plane photo herself on August 11th while headed back to the United States.

Swimming heart throb Ryan Lochte had also posted a picture on his Twitter from inside an aircraft that was accompanied with the following caption:

"It's been fun London but now it's time to get back to the good ole USA --lunch anyone?"
