“It’s good to be here,” Prince William reportedly told the Carlyle’s managing director Giovanni Beretta.

The Empire State Building’s Twitter account shared a welcome message for the royal couple, writing, “We welcome Their #Royal Highnesses The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge by sparkling in red, white, and blue #RoyalVisitUSA."

The royal couple, who didn’t bring their son Prince George along, has a lot planned for their three-day visit in the states. They will support their former university St. Andrews by attending the school’s 600th Anniversary Gala Dinner on Tuesday. Their Royal Highnesses will also visit the National September 11 Memorial and Museum at the World Trade Center. On Monday, the couple will even head to Brooklyn’s Barclays Center to watch a basketball game to support the collaboration with the Royal Foundation, United for Wildlife and the NBA.

"How befitting for the future King of England to travel to Kings County!" Borough President Eric Adams said in a statement. "We look forward to welcoming Prince William and Duchess Kate as they enjoy our Brooklyn Nets 'dethroning' King James and the Cavaliers."
