Johnny Manziel was told last Wednesday he wouldn't be starting in Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts and now another report has surfaced as to why he was benched yet again.

Rookie QB Johnny Manziel Will Not Start Against The Colts

The newly 22-year-old watched his team play yesterday from the bench since last Wednesday when he was told that he wouldn't be starting. Cleveland reported that Manziel said, "He [Coach Pettine] called me in and kind of sat down and explained why and I was very understanding of that."

Brian Hoyer was out on the field in the QB position, but didn't come through with a win for the Cleveland Browns since in the final minutes of the game, the previously trailing Colts came to take the lead and seal their win, 25-24.

Now, FOX Sports reported Sunday why Manziel probably really didn't get to start. It goes beyond performance on the field. Hoyer's been struggling greatly, but Manziel still hasn't proved himself since he was seen out Tuesday night sitting courtside at the Cleveland Cavaliers game.

Jay Glazer for FOX Sports said, "On Tuesday evening he was here at the Cleveland Cavaliers game sitting courtside." He added that it made people inside the organization question him since "they wanted to see how he would handle potentially starting and there he is [sitting courtside]." Glazer added, "If you're getting your first ever NFL start they would hope you're either at the complex or at home and just getting ready for the Indianapolis Colts. And he wasn't. He was with the Cavs."
