Movie star Jennifer Garner was spotted with her oldest child who's looking pretty grown-up these days.

On Monday, Daily Mail posted photos of the actress with her daughter Violet who just turned nine last week. The two went to the Brentwood Country Mart in California to do some shopping where Garner was apparently makeup-free. She was wearing a grey sweater with jeans and a scarf while her daughter wore a black coat with a pink dress and eyeglasses.

Violet looks like she's literally growing since she reaches up to her mother's shoulder as the ladies looked like they had themselves a nice day out.

Garner is married to Oscar winner Ben Affleck. They have two other children, Seraphine, 5, and Samuel, 2.

In a recent interview with In Style, Affleck dished on how he handles his Christmas shopping and one of the best ways to approach it.

"The secret is to go before Thanksgiving because everyone has it in their mind that you don't shop for Christmas gifts until Thanksgiving comes, and then the stores are immediately packed," the actor said. "Jen and I just did a bunch of our holiday shopping. We had a nice time- we were just at FAO Schwarz and it was pretty light."

Affleck then mentioned that people don't need to wait until the day after Thanksgiving to do their shopping.

"I know there's Black Friday, but I think if you get out there earlier than that, you're okay and the savings probably aren't even that different," he said. "There are plenty of pre-Thanksgiving sales."
