Roberts responded, "#ScreamQueens is scary and laugh out loud funny so you HAVE to watch!"

E! News broke the news Monday and confirmed that Roberts will join Jamie Lee Curtis in the Ryan Murphy show that tells the story of a college campus hit with several mysterious murders. Curtis is no stranger to scary films or the Scream franchise as she starred in Scream 4 and Halloween. The same can be said for Roberts, who fans can see in American Horror Story: Freak Show.

Brad Falchuk, Dante Di Lorento and Ian Brennan are also a part of the upcoming series.

Murphy released a statement and said, "I knew I wanted to work with Brad and Ian again on something comedic, and we are having a blast writing 'Scream Queens.' We hope to create a whole new genre-comedy-horror- and the idea is for every season to revolve round two female leads. We've already begun a nationwide search for those women, sa well as 10 other supporting roles, and we're grateful to Dana [Walden] and Gary [Newman] for their enthusiastic support."

Fans can catch the debut of Scream Queens in fall 2015.
