New York City has been in a royal trance since Duke William and Duchess Kate landed in The Big Apple. Since Sunday, Dec. 7, camera crews, the NYPD and an ambulance for Kate's morning sickness, as well as adoring fans, have followed them to every event they've participated in.

On Tuesday, the two watched the Brooklyn Nets play the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. There were Eric Garner protestors, thousands of onlookers and drunken NBA fans, but the two still managed to meet Lebron James, Beyoncé and Jay Z.

Upon first glance, they seem to have nothing in common but with a deeper look, it's easy to tell that the couples would make great friends because of all of the commonalities they share.

Re-Live the 13 Funniest Moments of Beyonce's "7/11" Video

1. Together, the two individuals within each pair create an unstoppable combination.

Prince William has always been a great catch as the more responsible son of the late Princess Diana, but when he and Kate began to appear in public, his looks and charm skyrocketed to a whole new level of admiration.

Jay Z and Beyoncé are certainly unstoppable in their own careers, but whenever they collab-whether with a selfie, on a song or with their child-the two walk away with something more magical than they anticipated.  See more video, here.

 2. The women make the men look better.

Jay Z without Beyonce is a bit less handsome than Jay Z with... Same for you, Prince William.

3. Beyonce and Kate Middleton make clothing fly off shelves.

"The Beyonce Effect" and "The Kate Effect" are slowly but surely becoming just as powerful as "The Oprah Effect." Whenever these two are spotted in a top or new dress (especially maternity wear for Duchess Kate), they immediately become the hot, must-have item. That's power, ladies and gentlemen.

4. Each couple holds royal titles of its' own.

Bey and Jay are the undeniable king and queen of hip-hop and some say, pop culture without actually being sworn in by Queen Elizabeth. On the other hand, Kate and William actually have.

5. They have adorable kids who everyone loves to watch grow up from afar.

Blue Ivy and baby George are two of the most famous kids on the planet. Whether Blue is changing her hair or dancing along to mommy's "Flawless" performance skills, or baby George is monkeying around at the Australia zoo, the two's innocent antics somehow become front page news.
