On the season finale of BET's Being Mary Jane, fans saw Mary Jane's ex-boyfriend David move on with another woman who was expecting his child, but contrary to what it looked like, that is not the last we will see of the former couple on the upcoming sophomore season of the show.

Mary Jane Calls Out David For 'Mind Games' In 'Being Mary Jane' Season 2 Teaser

In a special clip, David (played by actor Stephen Bishop) spoke to the network and said that while his girlfriend is pregnant, "If I'm gonna be completely honest, I do still have feelings for [Mary Jane.]

"I can't believe I'm gonna be a father...It's not like all that we've shared is just gonna disappear overnight. But at the end of the day some things just aren't meant to be."

Bishop also spoke with Quencie Thomas just last month and spilled secrets about the highly anticipated season. While he did not reveal much, he said there is definitely drama between he and Mary Jane in the upcoming new episodes.

"We pick up where we left off. David is in the situation where he's about to have a child. He just had to tell the love of his life that he doesn't wanna marry her. How do you walk away from the conversation and go to the woman of your child who you may or may not be in love with. There's a storyline to explore there."

He then joked that he "dreads" going to work every day to work with Gabrielle Union, who plays lead character Mary Jane Paul.

"She's so hard to look at. It really stretches my range as an actor... She's one of the most beautiful women in the world. She's a constant professional. I want it to be known, Gabrielle is in almost every scene of the show and she never forgets a line."
