As we learn about the new members who could be coming into the X-Men franchise, it seems like one of their staples faces will be heading out, or at least for the next movie.

Wolverine Set For Changes In 'X-Men: Apocalypse' That Could Lead To Being A Villain

Cinema Blend uncovered on Wednesday that Colossus, who has appeared in just about every X-Men movie outside of the Wolverine standalone movies and First Class, is not going to be in the next movie. The actor who plays him, Daniel Cudmore, revealed this on Twitter when fans asked about his involvement.

When asked whether or not he was going to be in the next movie, X-Men: Apocalypse, Cudmore answered with "Don't think so." He also added another tweet following that one that said, "Been getting a lot of questions about Colossus being in X-Men Apocolypse, I honestly don't know either way."

A New X-Men Character Could Join Deadpool & Wolverine In This Standalone Option

With the time stream changing in the next movie, it would make sense that his character wouldn't show up like we've already seen him since in the last movie, all his scenes took place in the future. But with old X-Men showing up with new faces, the site says that Cudmore could still come around as a younger version of Colossus with some make-up work.

As for future X-Men appearances, the actor added that he was unsure, but was cryptic when fans asked about him showing up in the upcoming Deadpool solo movie. This could be a way for him to make his way back into the X-Men world as his character could find new life in some of the spin-offs.

X-Men: Apocalypse comes out on May 27, 2016.
