Gonos claimed in the report that he wanted to hug Manziel, but Manziel's agent Erik Burkhardt released a statement telling a different tale.

He said in the statement, "There was no entourage."

Now, weeks later, Gonos reportedly posted on Facebook an apology to Manziel as reported by Cleveland Scene Friday.

The site credits Twitter user @BIZ_NICK_ for screenshotting the apology and posting it on Twitter this morning.

In the screenshot, Gonos apologized for how he approached Manziel. He then claimed, "All I ever wanted was to show love and give respect."

The fan further explained, "What occurred that night was a huge misunderstanding."

He admitted to being overwhelmed by seeing Manziel. He apologized to the rookie QB for "bringing a negative light to your name and reputation."

He said he "never attempted to pursue charges" against Manziel.

He concluded, "As a true Clevelander I wish you the best." He's also "ready for" Manziel to "wreck this league."
