Ellen Surprises A Family For The Holidays

Last week the talk show host kicked off her 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway Special, and she's been giving away some pretty cool items.

DeGeneres recently surprised two young boys by flying their father home for the holidays. Their dad was deployed in the Middle East and they hadn't seen him in over a year.

Franz Walkup was on his second tour in Afghanistan when he was shot five times after his team was ambushed by Afghan soldiers. He's undergone 78 surguries and spent months in the ICU, and he needed a new home. 

DeGeneres partnered with Shutterfly to give an injured veteran $15,000 to build a wheelchair accessible home. The man was shot 5 times 

The host wants fans to send her their videos of them surprising their loved ones this holiday season, and one of the videos is so heart warming.

One woman gave her daughter a One Direction calendar, and inside of the calendar, was a pair of tickets to the concert. The daughter's reaction to her mom's gift is priceless.
