On Monday cast and crew of Showtime's Penny Dreadful filmed a a scene in a new section of Grandage Place, leaving fans to wonder what could possibly still be hiding there that they have yet to see.

Ethan Chandler Will Be Taking Care Of Business On 'Penny Dreadful'

On Sunday director Damon Thomas teased that there'd be a "new set to enjoy" within the elegant London home, though he neglected to add what purpose it might serve.

Showtime Might Regret Cutting This 'Penny Dreadful' Character

Grandage Place is of course Sir Malcolm's (Timothy Dalton) rather large home where many of the scenes from season 1 took place. It is where they stored the vampire Fenton away to interrogate and do experiments on. It's where Vanessa (Eva Green) became possessed and was subsequently exorcised by Ethan Chandler (Josh Hartnett) in a nearly unexplainable sequence. It is also the gathering place for the show's unlikely band of misfits, which includes Sir Malcolm, Vanessa, Ethan, and Victor Frankenstein (Harry Treadaway).

Just about every inch of the place has already been explored, and so the introduction of a new room or collection of artifacts could perhaps expose some new secrets in the upcoming episodes.

Early images released from the set have suggested the use of torture devises, ancient weapons, and strange museum artifacts. Any one of these props could find a way into Sir Malcolm's home, especially given the size of the place.

Penny Dreadful returns on Showtime for a second season in 2015.
