Marvel seems to be creating a universe and a lot of it could be thanks to the work that Joss Whedon did with the first Avengers movie that really allowed the studio to take off with their films. But could Whedon be done with Marvel soon after he finishes his next movie with them?

Don't Expect A Crossover Between The Avengers & Guardians of the Galaxy Anytime Soon

Comic Book Movie reported on Friday from a Brazilian website that had emails from the Sony hack revealing that Anthony and Joe Russo, who directed Captain America: The Winter Soldier, will be taking over the two-part Avengers: Infinity War with Whedon giving up the director's chair after Age of Ultron.

This is a rumor that has been floating around for awhile now and it seems likely that Whedon, who has been all over the studio for the past few years, would want to move on from this and do some of his own stuff such as more independent films or a return to television.

It remains to be seen what the next step for Whedon would be, but the director has earned the right to move on from the studio. He helped to usher in the Golden Age of superhero movies with The Avengers and may want to go see what else is out there.

The Russo brothers have become hot properties after their first Marvel movie did so well and they will be returning for Captain America: Civil War as well. They also have been rumored to be the writers and producers on any Spider-Man movies that could happen at Marvel in the future.
