Nicki Minaj Breaks Down on Angie Martinez Over Break Up With Safaree Samuels, "I Don't Know How I'm Going to Function"

Nicki Minaj and her former boyfriend (and rumored fiancé), Safaree Samuels, broke up earlier this year and it has not been easy for either of them. Since her new album, "The Pink Print," dropped on Dec. 11, the 32-year-old rapper has shared her side of their painful break up in dozens of interviews. At one point, she even broke down while talking to Angie Martinez and needed a break to regain her composure.

Over the weekend, the former couple of 12 years engaged in a Twitter war over an alleged videotape of Minaj, which she thought Safaree sold because he was bitter over him moving on. But, after a toy drive in Los Angeles, Safaree broke his silence to TMZ about the entire situation.

According to him, their Twitter war was just "a misunderstanding." He explained, "Somebody out there is putting some poison out but definitely nothing but love, don't believe none of that."

Safaree, also known as Scaff Beezy, seemed a bit melancholy during their brief chat. Though he will always support his former girlfriend, whom he refers to as "family", he does not think they will get back together. "No... But 12 years is a long time, that's not something you just forget about," he added.

All break ups, especially in those that were long and meaningful relationships, are hard. But, SB is doing his best to move on. Unfortunately for him, his girlfriend is quite literally everywhere he turns.

Safaree said, before the clip ends, "It's not easy... It's different when everywhere you go, everything you watch, every single radio station has on that person."
