Being pregnant hasn't always made dressing up easy for country star Carrie Underwood.

While the Something In The Water singer has put together some fashionable looks over the last few months, it hasn't always been easy. Perhaps that's why she looked to a country music icon for some inspiration on Twitter Monday.

While Underwood might admire the "glamorous" looks of Dolly Parton, she's had to make some realistic changes to her own wardrobe this fall. In fact, in November Underwood told Taste Of Country that not fitting into her clothes led to one of her first pregnancy meltdowns.

"It was the day I was like 'I no longer can wear my clothes anymore'," she explained. "So he [husband Mike Fisher] came home and I was, like, crying in the closet."

The singer has had to make a few adjustments to the way she dresses these days, but her pregnancy attire has remained tasteful and elegant. She even topped some best-dressed lists when she co-hosted the CMA Awards with Brad Paisley on Nov. 5.

Underwood announced her pregnancy in September. This will be the first child for her and husband Mike Fisher, who plays in the NHL for the Nashville Predators. Underwood is due to give birth to their baby boy in the spring, though they've elected to keep the exact due date a secret between the two of them for the time being.

Greatest Hits: Decade #1, Underwood's most recent album, was released on Dec. 9.
