The man who hit into Jennifer Lopez’s Rolls Royce while driving under the influence was charged on Monday, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement.

Robert John Reitz, 53, was given a misdemeanor count for operating a vehicle with a .08 percent blood alcohol content. If found guilty, the Las Vegas man could face up to six months in jail and $1,000 fine.

Reitz hit into Lopez’s car on Sept. 27 on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, Calif. The 45-year-old’s good friend and actress Leah Remini was sitting in the passenger seat. Lopez’s 6-year-old twins, Max and Emme, as well as Remini’s daughter Sofia, 10, were also in the backseat. The group was on their way to Demi Lovato’s concert.

The Booty singer shared a photo with Remini quickly after the crash and explained what occurred.
