A number of celebrities have taken to Twitter to post their excitement, including Kathy Griffin who posted a photo with host Ryan Seacrest and TV news anchor Anderson Cooper. Based on the caption, "hell froze over" as she smiles with the two guys.

Seacrest posted some shots with Jenny McCarthy as they prepare to be part of the big night. The two TV personalities take a selfie while they make sure that the ball is indeed going to drop tonight.

According to Carter Matt on Wednesday, there are going to be plenty of music performances to look forward to. Some of these include Idina Menzel, Bastille, One Direction, Meghan Trainor, Florida Georgia Line and much, much more.

Overall this year has been rather enticing since a lot took place in pop culture, whether it was happy, sad or just plain weird.
