'Merciless' 'The 100' Finale Teased; Writer Aaron Ginsburg Talks 'Insane' Episode

Considering all the trauma 100 fans have suffered during season 2, we'll give you the unfortunate news first so we can cheer you up later.

Unfortunately, for the moment, it appears Clarke and Bellamy will not shed their platonic relationship for a more romantic encounter. Life moves fast on the ground, but not fast enough to throw the two characters together before Finn's body is even cold.

"I like to sort of tease and coax them into a fury, and then our show-runner [Jason Rothenberg] likes to just berate them," writer Aaron Gisnburg told the Nerdist Writers Panel of Bellarke fans (via Pop Insomniacs). "Because they want certain things, [the fans] want certain characters to be together-you know, like Ross & Rachel style. And he basically is like 'That will not happen,' and he puts his foot down and mocks them for it."

But - and here comes the good news - Rothenberg's firm stance may waver in the future.

"Oddly, I don't know if... it might happen, we don't know," Ginsburg continued. "[We] talk about it all the time. He kinda doesn't want to do it, only as [to spite them], which is really weird. But the story might end up there anyway. So, who knows."
