Everyone is thoroughly convinced that Rick (Jacob Young) will eventually come to his senses and stop rebounding from his broken marriage with his ex-girlfriend, but their hopes could be for something that won't happen on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Rick's Most Recent Actions Shock The Forrester Women

Consumed by his need for revenge on Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) for betraying him, Rick manages to successfully get himself irrevocable control of Forrester, and revealed that he and Maya (Karla Moseley) were still a couple and were going to run the company together. In addition to that and officially telling Caroline he was done with their marriage, Rick also moved his mistress into the mansion and replaced Stephanie portrait with one of Maya-which has upset everyone in the Forrester family even more.

And while Caroline, Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) and others are convinced he is just acting out because he still loves Caroline and can't properly process the hurt he feels, Liam (Scott Clifton) feels there is something else driving Rick's actions as of late-and he will voice his opinion of the situation to Ivy.

Rick Officially Ends His Marriage To Caroline

"I think there may be more to their relationship than you realize, and unfortunately, more than Caroline realizes," he says to her in a preview clip for the Friday, Jan. 9 episode.

Even though he believes there could be something else driving Rick's actions though, he will still stand by Ivy's side when she confronts Rick about everything he's done-and will tell the young CEO that he's lying to himself if he thinks he's truly over his marriage.

"You're still married," he says to Rick. "Your feelings don't just disappear overnight."

Meanwhile, Caroline will finally face off against Maya since the news broke-but the confrontation won't go as planned when Maya turns the tables on her, and successfully gloats about how she managed to win the epic battle between them after all.

"Life on this planet isn't all about Caroline Spencer," she says in the clip.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
